Number One Longing, Number Two Regret

When John Spears is taken into custody on suspicion of murdering his neighbour, detectives Ken and Fett are assigned to the case. As Kenosha interacts with the reticent Spears, she becomes increasingly intrigued by him and soon uncovers that the situation is more complex than it seems. Investigating his history, she learns about a man haunted by a lost love and traumatic experiences he struggles to articulate. After being cautioned by an American security firm, Spears withdraws into his own mind, presenting as a man teetering on the brink of madness.
